Wonder who we are? To start with our names are Todd, Ewa, and Linnea (our nine year old daughter) Booth. One can say we are a mixed couple, a very talkative Swede and a crazy American, but it works great. This is Ewa's Web Site. We will put some of our common family information into this web site.
Here is some background on our family. We will update this in the very near future.
Todd was raised in Los Angeles, California. Ewa was raised in Kiruna, the most northerly town in Sweden, 350 km north of the artic circle, where they have winter for 9 months a year and are always longing for the sun.
We met in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1994.
We moved together, for the first time, in Northern California (Silicon Valley, California ("The Valley")). In the Valley, it was a very interesting place. However it was not a nice place to raise a family.
After two years in the Valley, we then moved to Boca Raton, Florida. We lived in a very nice golf and tennis resort. Here is the link to the Stonebridge Country Club. This was a great place and we loved it there. We went to the beach with our friends, almost every weekend. Todd played 2 on 2 volleyball. Sometimes the sand was so hot we needed to put socks on our feet (good problem). We lived in Boca for about four years.
We then moved to Cota de Caza Country Club (which was in Orange Country, Southern California). Orange County is just south of Los Angeles County. We stayed there for about two years.
We then moved to Skellefteå, Sweden. This is in the far North, in Sweden. This is where we still live.
We are both engineers and have both worked in the telecommunications and data business. We also share the same interest for computers. Many years ago, when we only had one computer at home, we used to fight over that computer. However today, we have six computers for three people. Our daughter, Linnea, has her own high performance computer. However it is now our daughter Linnea, who is fighting to also use our computers. Todd also has his own home servers. This web site is running on one of Todd's home servers.
We like to travel, snorkel, ski and snowboard. Snow sports are impossible to perform in Florida which is very warm and flat, but we now live close to ski slopes again. We purchase season passes, so that our family can ski every week in the winter, and it's a very long winter. It has recently started to snow more heavily so we will be skiing very soon.
One of Ewa's interest is genealogy research. Ewa has done an incredible job, in this research and has traced our family back over one thousand years. We will provide some information very soon (most likely by December 20th,2011) on how you can access the results of this research. So check back soon.
